A place built in 1861

Overlooking the harbor of Marseille, the Fortin de Corbières, built in the 19th century, was primarily intended to monitor port traffic in the city. This historic place, nestled in an exceptional surroundings, was then transformed with flair into a birthplace of art and culture, where the paintings of the famous Marseille painter Adolphe Joseph Thomas Monticelli were exhibited.

Since then, the neoclassical building of almost 700 m² has regained the reputation for excellence it deserves: restored, enlarged and embellished. Become a place of reception out of time, between sky and sea, the Fortin de Corbières is today an invitation to a sensorial voyage and happy events.
